Development of stem cell pathology methods

Development of the most effective immunohistochemical methods and molecular biological for detection of stem cells in organs and tissues is a critical technical aspect of the Stem Cell Pathology Unit. The majority of stem cells can be detected only by combination of several markers. Development of multiplexed immunohistochemical, in situ hybridization and laser-microdissection approaches is one of the missions aimed to relieve stem cell investigators of such time consuming functions.
